Multi-Colored Hydrangeas

I love hydrangeas, especially the rich blue ones, but for some reason I really like this one and the way it had blues & greens and hints of pink.

Did you know you can change the color of your hydrangeas? They're affected by the pH of your soil, so (and I'm going from memory, so I could be wrong).. the more acidic = blue, alk = pink.. and I would guess the more neutral = white. :)

I believe you are suppose to put nickel or other metals in the soil to turn blue & acid like lemon juice for the pink, but I might be mixed up. Since I only have potted plants it makes it hard to grow hydrangeas, but I love how full they are.
